The school is an institution to teach people to know the words and to study the civics. The illiteracy is just not knowing a word and not accepting the education in the school.
As of the end of 2001, the national illiteracy rate for adults over 15 years of age was 4.21 percent. Education is strongly emphasized in Taiwan. In SY2001, the net enrollment rate of elementary school students eligible for education was 99.9 percent in that year.
Senior high schools focused primarily on training students passing the Joint University Entrance Examination , which was a requirement for all students entering college
Special education includes programs and facilities for gifted children, and those due to handicaps or learning disabilities.Adult education classes are offered in such areas as writing skills, practical mathematics, and civics. In the past, a single joint examination was the route to enter senior high schools.Some students may receive diplomas equivalent by passing examinations. One method of going to colleges is by recommendation.The studying is not only getting the attainment, but also learning from doing all your life.
